Your editing of the post (without any marking), and the content of your reply, both suggests that these errors are the same errors that James is talking about above, but the context you cut makes it clear that they are not. The latter errors seem to refer to algorithm errors and you may very well know if the algorithm errors cancel or accumulate, even when doing original research (either on the algorithms or on the source data). -- Ben.
