Huh. I get them consistently, either accessing the site directly or,
as I usually do, via a cgi-bin script on localhost the opens a socket on
truth-out.org [1] and sends a GET.

3 short lines of text shown on the page are Cyrillic, the URLs are
ASCII, referencing:

    alfaakb.com
    www.retail.ua
    europosud.ua

Googling for alfaakb and europasud, there are sites scattered all over
the web with the same or similar lines.

Some kind of web-spam attack gone awry?  Weird.

[1] truth-out.org and truthout.org resolve to the same address.
