I'm doing a little educational project (not homework) to model with
differential equations some of the physics of the swing carousel. E.g.,
the angle of the seat cable with respect to time under the influences of
centrifugal force and gravity. I was wondering if somebody knew of a
book or report dealing specifically with this subject, or a little more
generally the modeling of objects attached to a spinning object.
