So, um, would someone mind explaining the role of Polyforth in the history of Forth? I guess it was a Forth Inc. product written (at least in significant part) by Chuck himself, that was sort of a predecessor of Swiftforth? Why did Swiftforth diverge from it--something to do with ANS? Is Polyforth still actively being sold/maintained other than by Greenarrays? Is it unrepairably non-ANS conformant? Do parts of it live on in Swiftforth? Just wondering. Thanks.
