Admittedly, I routinely see people running into the local Apple Store 
and screaming that tar and sha256sum isn't available in MacOS. I think 
they just firebombed the place over it.

If you are a person of interest to some foreign nation or a potentially 
hostile regime, they will gather information on you regardless of what 
operating system you use. Linux does not make you immune and there are 
regular examples of this being reported. _Everything_ is compromised, no 
matter how many bearded fat guys with grease-stained shirts are working 
on whatever you install.

Meanwhile, Apple users transfers files to and from devices wirelessly 
and without a second thought as to what the speeds are because 
everything feels instant. If they don't mind using cables, they can now 
transfer at 120Gbps.
