We were living in Virginia while Dad was working at Quantico. Mom bought some sort of package of cornbread mix that came with a small heavy foil baking pan. The resulting cornbread was sweet and cake-like. I did not like it at all. Fast forward to west TN. I don't think I actually ate *real* cornbread until I was in my early 20's, at a southern home-style restaurant. The difference between the mix my mother bought and this stuff was night and day. I love it! Of course there are a million different opinions about how to make cornbread. Not everyone has to like it. -- --Jill
