I wanted the Lizards cause of the Carolina Anole. OR, in regular folks terms, the Garden Chameleon Lizard. You see, I remember, as a kid, finding little clutches of not quite hard tiny white eggs. Carefully gathering them up and sheltering them in a warm sunny window corner. Then they'd hatch, and I'd know it by my moms screams and the broom whacking the walls and chairs. oops. I'll try another window. but see, I thought they were snake eggs at first. And when I finally saw some hatching, I saw these little tiny tadpole sized green/gray 4 legged lizards that would instantly tongue lash every fly and skeeter around! And this was before the insurgence of alien Gecko's from SE Asia! That didn't start until the pet trade got some in the 70's. But now I knew how to find BABY garden lizards! LOL! I wonder how long it took for a pair of them to get to over a foot long? Big enough to eat little birds! And they were Carolina Anoles, just like the little ones. Only much bigger. I saw this pair eating bumble bees and wasps. They seemed smarter than the little ones. Never saw a different description of these, so they must be simply older Anoles. AND, the good ol Texas Horned Toad! Another lizard in the clutch!
