But they are confusing browsers with APIs so there are false negatives. ActiveXObject is _not_ limited to Internet Explorer, but to browsers that provide ActiveX/COM support. Those browsers include all that use MSHTML and have COM support enabled. There is too much nonsense about this field on the Web to take risks. Your quotations are wasteful and hardly readable.
