Okay, I might have to start all over again...

First, here is the definition of the word...'primary':

Next, here is the definition of the words primary colors: 

any of a group of colors from which all other colors can be obtained by mixing.

Which when mixed in varying proportions produce all other colors. 
For pigments, the primary colors are red, yellow, and blue. For lights, they are red, green, and blue.
