It's called, trying to diminish you...den·i·grate. It's how Donald Trump deals with those that oppose him.

The Internet wishes to be free. That means the internet has a strong desire for
information in any form to be free...music, movies, books, ideas.

For example, epub.

actually is a zip file filled with html files.

Just change the extension of any epub from xxxxx.epub to .xxxxx.zip

then unzip it.

For example, some directory publisher published a directory book,
how do you extract all email addresses and data from the pages of a big directory ?
then finally came out with a epub of the book.

Now, unzipping it gave me access to all it's email addresses, and names and address
in this directory that is easily extracted.

The Internet wishes to be free.

(i bet a million dollars that if the publisher knew that
his book can be uzipped and information extracted easily in a second, he would have never had it
turn into a ebook.)

The Internet wishes to be free.
