Alright, the Sun corona is about 200 X hotter than the surface-- photosphere. The corona is thought of as the atmosphere of the Sun and extends some 2,000 km from the surface of Sun, the photosphere. The radius of Sun is 7*10^5 km. It is thought that the anomaly is due to Alfven Waves and magnetic reconnection.

So here is an example of where Gravity fails to explain the radius of the Sun and where EM forces explains the radius of the Sun. Where in fact, gravity is an EM force that is 10^40 weaker than Coulomb force.

Now those in Old Physics look upon the Sun and have all explanations due to gravity, where plasma is not seen as energy but seen as "state of matter". And with such a muddle headed view, they have this anomaly.

The real radius of the Sun would thus be 7*10^5 + 2,000 km.

In our Sun and other shining stars, what forms them is mostly EM, not gravity, in the fact that Faraday's law is in play where alpha particles of hydrogen and helium nuclei are positive charges and electrons as beta particles going around in a circle to form the corona of the Sun, or star.

Here on Earth, our rock planet, it is mostly gravity that shapes the radius.
