I will admit to using the do {...break...} while 0 trick albeit
rarely.  The block and exitblock construct comes into play when there
is a filter situation, i.e., when a series of tests must be applied
and there is intervening code between tests.  (If there isn't any
intervening code one can use short circuit conditionals.)
