I should say that this only holds if they travel faster than approximately

        D∕γ(v)∕v ≤ T'
            D∕T' ≤ γ(v)∕v
            D∕T' ≤ 1∕√(1 − v²)∕v
            T'∕D ≤ √(1 − v²)∕v
          T'²∕D² ≤ (1 − v²)∕v²
          T'²∕D² ≤ 1∕v² − 1
      T'²∕D² + 1 ≤ 1∕v²
  1∕(T'²∕D² + 1) ≤ v²
               v ≥ 1∕√(T'²∕D² + 1)
               v ≥ 1∕√(50²∕50² + 1)
               v ≥ 1∕√2
               v ≥ 0.7071 c

because they cannot travel at the speed of light c in the first place, and
so it would usually take them *more* than 50 years one way, of course.

Well, maybe not that simple ;-)
