OK, but please forgive me if I've misunderstood: contactless was not
involved in any way there, correct?
Contactless can only be used for small transactions, so it would be
difficult in most cases to exhaust one's credit.
Fraudulent transactions are at the very least a damned nuisance, but
they can happen to anyone. The credit card company is obliged to
reimburse the account holder promptly. And fraudulent transactions
can happen without contactless; the difference is that the non-
contactless ones have a much higher limit on value.
