The computer writes more than you think. It isn't just the files you
save or download yourself, there's also the all the data from web
browser's writing to their cache, internet video being buffered
locally, the system updating log files, applications like Photoshop
creating scratch files, applications doing mini-saves and Versions,
etc., etc.
