I'm taking a Coursera MOOC. Two days ago the Coursera web site began
loading very slowly or not at all. Tried several browsers in OSX (all
latest software) on four different Macs, one of which has direct
Ethernet to the Verizon router, and in Windows 7 Pro, with the same
results. Rebooted my Verizon router with unplug-wait-replug. Restarted
my AirPort Base stations, all to no avail. Tried several Macs, one of
which has Ethernet direct to the Verizon router. Still no good.

*All* other web sites I have tried load normally. Streaming video is
smooth and fast.

Must be something about the Coursera web site, right?

Wrong. Tonight it occurred to me to try my Verizon JetPack 4G LTE
wireless device. The Coursera web site loads quickly. Streaming video
lectures, which won't load at all on my home network, work fine. Switch
back to the home network and the Coursera site grinds to a halt again.

What in my network could be choking a single web site?
