Everything is these compromised days, everything...

Pseudo-conservatism is the new black.

Tariffs have clear Constitutional merit and history.

"Early Revenue Focus: From 1789 until the Civil War, tariffs were the primary source of federal income, often accounting for 80-95% of revenue.
Protectionism (Hamilton vs. Madison): Alexander Hamilton argued for tariffs to foster domestic manufacturing, a view that often clashed with Southern agricultural interests, leading to early political disputes.
Delegation of Power: While Congress holds the power, it has delegated
significant authority to the President in the 20th century to adjust
rates, such as through the Trade Act of 1974 and Section 232 of the
Trade Expansion Act of 1962 (national security). The Supreme Court
upheld this delegation in 1928."

It is most fitting that, at the time of our Nation's bicentennial, a
chronicle of the U.S. International Trade Commission should be published. This agency, created as the U.S. Tariff Commission in 1916,
like our Nation, has a rich heritage, and there are parallels in OU{
respective histories. From a somewhat tentative start, the Commission, like the country, has seen a growth in stature and expansion in
activities. We each have withstood forces that attempted to push us in
one direction or another, and we have managed to maintain our balance while shouldering increased responsibilities. And together we
look to the future, toward an even greater contribution and record of
achievement.
The U.S. International Trade Commission, as an agency, is proud
of the accomplishments which are set forth herein, and, as Chairman,
I am proud of the people, past and present, who are responsible for
those accomplishments. It is hoped that this history contributes to an
understanding of Commission achievements and gives witness to those
responsible for them.
Will E. Leonard
Chairman

So very very true!!!
