A bit further below what I posted yesterday morning, Thu 29 Jan 2026 at
09:11 CET (08:11 UTC) to the Astrologyweekly internet forum in this post:

In a nutshell, I describe an idea regarding the nature of "consciousness"
that may(!) be original in its "radicality" and might(!!) lead me to some
fundamental new insights and/or even physics in the years to come.
Of course, none of that is certain at all, and on average changes are
quite slim, but in my feeling/experience as a physicist it felt to me
by far compelling enough to share and thus "stake the claim".
The idea is to consider the basic workings of life, namely creating more
order (reducing entropy locally) while exporting disorder into an open
environment, as also to be identical to the emergence of an "awareness",
a degree of "consciousness". The key word is *identical* above, not just
somehow similar or related, akin maybe to how Feynman interpreted the
action in something Dirac wrote (maybe in his book on QM?).
If this leads somewhere, it could be how life works physically, including
new insights into quantum mechanics, and it might also help explain what,
say, happens when something dies, if there is something that persists and
is used, some sort of "energy conservation" maybe, or else where the
difference between alive and dead would be placed.
Again, just an idea now, but with clear incentives. I got to this roughly
after reading in "Consciousness and the Universe" the evening before,
and also maybe the last part above inspired by reading "The Secret of
Secrets" by Dan Brown in 2025, most of it starting the afternoon of my
second Saturn return of the second cycle in September.
Anyways, below what I posted yesterday, nothing changed/edited, except
that I added hard line breaks after 72 characters.

As a more general observation, when Uranus entered Aries I felt lots of
"free absolutum", presumably energy of some sort that was freed when
some things (and presumably also beings) ended with the end of Pisces,
energy to maybe grab a little bit, themes maybe to pick up, stuff to
create, all hopefully for the better.
Specifically I had yesterday 28 Jan and already starting partially a day
before an idea regarding consciousness and life, which is apparently not
completely new, while my approach might even be (if I am really, really
lucky) something like what Feynman did with regard to the action ("S")
in quantum mechanics, which lead Feynman by saying that "exactly the
same" to his formulation of quantum mechanics with path integrals, which
was then also its path to quantum electrodynamics and the Nobel Prize
then... Actually, maybe even what I am thinking about could be the same
as that action in a way, or even precisely, will see...
To explain the energy maybe the following, with also a bit of astronomy
on the side:
If you drop a rubber ball from your hand, then it will jump up again and
again, but each time a bit less high and in the end resting, while the
ball (and the floor and the air) will have heated up a little bit
turning mechanical, directed energy into heat energy. That is also
essentially related to the "second law of thermodynamics" which states
that in a closed system (here more open unless you count the floor and
air in) the entropy ("disorder") can only stay the same or usually
increases. Heat is random motion of atoms/molecules, and the dropping
ball is ordererd motion.
Now, "dead" / "inanimate" things usually seem to go that path, you never
see a rubber ball starting to jump up higher and higher, but living
beings like grashoppers or frogs, etc., can do such things, can turn
from apparently in rest to movement, which also reminds of time reversal
(as William James Sidis observed in 1925 in "The Animate and the
Inanimate") by the way. Of course, they do not violate the second law of
thermodynamics, such feats only work in an open environment where the
living beings can dissipate heat into the environment, or rather
disorder.
The temperature of the earth is roughly constant because the energy it
gets from the rays of the sun is about the same as the energy it
radiates out into space, in that sense there is roughly thermal
equilibrium, except variations across long time periods or shorter ones
now with human-made global warming. But it is still not a closed system
because the sun provides energy from the single direction while the
earth radiates into all directions, in other words the sun not only
provides energy to the earth but also order/structure, the very basis of
life on earth, only that way (except for a short time) can life continue
to exist and evolve.
But that was not yet my idea.
In the brain, which is in contemporary science considered to be alive
and especially where consciousness/awareness is located, I think that it
is the very same mechanisms of creating structure by at the same time
dissipating disorder that is what creates thoughts, awareness, even I
presume in very simple organisms, only probabyl sort of "less" or
"simpler" awareness...
That may sound like not much of an idea, but I am not sure if other
really made that approach in that clarity, but I will, of course, also
take a closer look at who else maybe to thank for previous work, while
maybe at the time focus more on where/how it could grow, also in
relation to quantum mechanics, of course.
In any case, I think Aries is good for fundamental discoveries in
"theoretical physics"...
By the way, or maybe also related a lot: I recently stumbled over Ayn
Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" via a documentary on TV about the mindset at the
Silicon Valley, and was astonished to that very early in the novel she
mentions an oak that had been hit and destroyed by lightning. Since she
came from Russia (with Jewish background I think, Jewish Religion and
Age of Aries), I guess she knew the story of Neva and Krok, she the
queen, he her husband with essentially the sole purpose of protecting
the oak tree to which her life was tied, but he could not defend it
against lightning, so she died then, and the youngest of her 3
daughters, Libuse, also the one with the most magical abilities took her
place, also holding council under a Linden tree, until one day people
demanded that they wanted a male king, so she told them where to go and
look for a farmer with just one shoe, who she married then and founded
Prague in legend, becoming the mother of all Slavs... Prague means in a
way roughly "threshold", reminding also Theseus helping Hera
disguised/transformer to an old woman across a river on his back where
he lost one sandal. The other side of the river is also rebirth, but a
part has to be lost apparently into the stream...
