KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
A Kansas City Fire Department firefighter is facing multiple felony
criminal charges for allegedly urinating on a co-worker's property
inside a fire station near the Kansas City International Airport.

On Wednesday, Platte County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Zahnd announced
that Pleaze Robinson III, a KCFD firefighter, had been charged with
first-degree harassment and first-degree property damage in connection
with the Sept. 10, 2023, incident.

The 56-year-old is believed to be the same firefighter who pleaded
guilty to assault in 2019 for a Raytown road rage beating.

KMBC 9 has reached out to KCFD and is waiting to hear back about
Robinson's current employment status with the department

The alleged harassment occurred after a KCFD medic, who is not being
identified, returned to the firehouse from injury leave.

According to court documents, at about 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 10, the medic
noticed a strange smell in her office space, which she then realized was
urine. Her office space was located in a medical storage closet that the
medic had converted into a work area. The items were wet, and when she
soaked some of the liquid with a white paper towel, the towel turned
yellow.

The medic reported that a CD player, boogie board, and medic training
books had been urinated on. The items were estimated to be worth nearly
$3,000.

When investigators asked about possible suspects, the medic said she had
experienced previous issues with Robinson and another firefighter.

Robinson was later tied to the incident after liquid found in the CD
player was tested for his DNA at the Kansas City Police Crime
Laboratory. According to court records, the DNA results allegedly
provided strong support that Robinson contributed that DNA.

Robinson was charged with first-degree harassment for allegedly
purposely causing emotional distress to the victim, in addition to the
property damage charge for the items mentioned above.

Both crimes are class E felonies and are punishable by up to four years
in prison.

A warrant has been issued for Robinson's arrest. His bond is currently
set at $10,000.

"The allegations in this case are disturbing. It's very troubling that a
firefighter who is supposed to serve the public is accused of harassing
a co-worker in such a distressing way, "Zahnd said,

The charges against Robinson remain accusations at this time. He remains
innocent until proven guilty.
