Bij mijn weten zijn SD-kaarten op twee manieren te formatteren; zodanig
dat de kaart een vast onderdeel is van het systeem, of zo dat hij
verwijderbaar is. Dat laatste gaat zo, tenminste bij mij op Android 6:
Settings > Storage & USB > SD card > vanuit het menu, die drie stipjes
rechtsbovenin: 'Format as portable'.

Overigens vind ik data overbrengen via WiFi vele malen handiger dan via
een SD-kaart.
