The top three answers explain why it is not a tautology, and I might add that math gives us new positive knowledge generally expressed in the form of refutable statements. Only refutable statements can be proven true or false, and math does it all the time. And I meant statements about the material world (physics) rather than about abstractions (mathemat- ics). > Yes, it is.
