Actually if you take a look at the sequence of the example posted below you will see that it is possible to get to street view from within google maps on the iPad. 1: initiate a search, in this case "Park Cinemas, Paso Robles" < https://db.tt/tWVzbekm > < https://db.tt/3wmdqUfO > 2: tap on the resulting info thumbnail.
