The secret lies in using Chrome not Safari. for example if i do a 
Google search for my doctor, Scott Greaves. Chrome will execute the 
Google search and give me his office location tag  in its little 
map-let. If I tap that tag, the google Maps app will open and open 
showing me the location. I can the save it as a "Saved Place" (not a 
bookmark). I can share the location via message or email, and I can 
plot a route from my current position.
