The word "bookmark" doesn't appear in googlr Maps. There is a blue star 
with the word "Save" under it. Tap on the blue star and it turns to 
gold with that location information saved as one of your "Saved Places" 
They don't call them "bookmarks" so you are not going to find any 
mention of "bookmarks".

Stop calling the Google Maps "Saved Places" "Bookmarks". Google does 
not use the term.
