Not only that.  From what was quoted here, he completely mixed up the HTML 
4.01 Strict DOCTYPE declaration, the XML namespace declaration for *XHTML*, 
and the *HTML5* “canvas” element.  Markup one can rely on in one's program 
looks quite different, and “Evertjan.” has shown how; however, the markup 
has to be validated afterwards because Valid HTML5 (as per CR at least) 
follows own rules, and not obeying those *again* results in an unreliable 
markup base.
