Or in JavaScript 1.7+:

  function range (start, end, step)
  {
    for (var i = start; i < end; i += step)
    {
      yield i;
    }
  }

  function sum ()
  {
    return (+x) + (+y);
  }

  [i for each (i in range(3, 10, 3))].reduce(sum)
  + [i for each (i in range(5, 10, 5))].reduce(sum)

Or, more compatible to other ECMAScript implementations:

  function range (start, end, step)
  {
    var a = [];

    for (var i = start; i < end; i += step)
    {
      a.push(i);
    }

    return a;
  }

  range(3, 10, 3).reduce(sum) + range(5, 10, 5).reduce(sum)
