First of all, you mean a _gravitational_ wave; a gravity wave is something else. Second, gravitational waves, if they exist, are ripple-like disturbances in the gravitational field of a massive body. The gravitational field of a massive body (and AFAWK, spacetime as well) extends to infinity (where the gravitational potential approaches 0); *nothing* can leave it. <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity_wave> <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravitational_wave> > By what strength does this disembodied gravity action continue to pull ? See above. PointedEars -- A neutron walks into a bar and inquires how much a drink costs. The bartender replies, "For you? No charge." (from: WolframAlpha)
