If JR is talking about me, he's got the wrong guy. I roll with the
punches. But when Apple takes away something that I need, I want a
replacement. A dongle in a single Thunderbolt port is not a
satisfactory replacement for two FireWire ports. A blank spot is not a
replacement for Ethernet. Apple's server farms use Ethernet ports,
still the world standard, but I don't suppose they're using Apple-brand
servers.
