I fail to see anything superior about either system, frankly

And I have used both nearly all my life.

You don't get far as an engineer without being able to convert standards
rapidly and fluently in your head. Or on a calculator

The arguments are mostly people talking bollocks about stuff they have
no understanding of, so they substitute violently defended opinions

*shrug* duodecimal versus decimal. sexadecimal even better 360 dyas in a
year, almost. Good enough for religion

Again *shrug*. Plywood is sold as 2.4384 metres long, instead of 8 feet.
Its the same bloody sized wood

It is a complete storm in a bigots teacup.

Any US garage will be using metric and imperial all the time.

Any pilot will be too.
