Except that I'm referring to a Samsung Galaxy A15 5G running Android 15, 
One UI Version 7.0

Specifically, when I opened the phone just now to see whatever app is 
responsible for showing a missed call, the three bottom buttons 
immediately hid themselves and I need to swipe up from the bottom edge...

...before I can even select one.

Two steps and inconsistent behaviour.
