(This is a long one.) from https://arstechnica.com/space/2026/08/theres-a-huge-launch-crunch-right-now-and-it-will-probably-get-worse/ Satellite operators are in panic mode due to a worsening launch crisis What happens if the Falcon rockets stop flying? ------------------------------------- Wannabe satellite network operators without their own launch capability are in a panic that Musk will dominate the new market he created. This is what happened with ground networks which also have a high technical cost of entry. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mobile_virtual_network_operators_in_the_United_States I get Internet from a low cost cellular MVNO that doesn't really support video, which is fine because I prefer to read. When movies I haven't seen play on broadcast TV I record them on my homebrew antenna TV system. Otherwise I'm busy fixing things, presently forming 18ga steel rust repair patches to bolt or weld on my old car.
