So far, the only one I've seen that comes close to that is Vivaldi.

Yeah, that's what I mainly was referring to in the OP, having to deal
with multiple new extension incompatibilities.

I again hear nonsense like this "cleaner, softer, and more customizable
feel" mantra. The focus seems to be on looks, not functionality. So yet
again, more advanced users will need to hack using userchrome.css
tweaks. And yet again, doing so will only be the beginning of yet
another chess game with the devs.
