Six years ago a car took out the BT cabinet here with all the DSLAM 
equipment in it. There were 176 households (including mine) with no 
internet connection for a week. A couple of years later an SSE crew cut 
through the BT cables to half-a-dozen or so houses here. I was without 
broadband internet for a couple of days. I do have a mobile phone, but 
it only has 10GB a month allowance. There's not too much you could 
stream with that.
