Looks like you're right, although I'm no longer with BT and have never 
had a Smart Hub (voice landline only). It took quite a bit of internet 
searching to confirm what you'd said, and I finally found it here: 
<https://ee.co.uk/help/tv-sport/manage-use/modes>, but even that notes 
you can't fast-forward to avoid the ITVX ads. And it looks like there's 
no slo-mo and step frame. Also, switching between aerial and internet 
mode apparently requires a reset which deletes any recordings, unless 
you go into "maintenance mode"!
