After asking a few questions here, I finally had FF installed on Thursday. Although the landline was UG cable, various garden changes meant that the only viable route was overhead from the original pole. The Openreach engineer was a 40 year service guy and made a really great job, both inside and out. Lots of iced lemonade kept him hydrated for the 4 hours plus time he took. The contacted speeds were below spec but he advised to change the Ethernet cable to Cat6 and that did the trick. Now on 150 Mbps for £22 per month. To have continued with FTTC would have been £41. Very happy. Regards.
