I should have said: BULLSHIT! unencrypted UPD to your ISP is the fastest connection you can get. TCP has 3 Way handshake + TLS negotioation + encryption overhead. I you are on the other side of the planet than the DoH server it adds extra time (Speed of Light limit! + delay on every routing hop) It makes probably sense on public unencrypted WiFi.. but I don't use such shit. ciao..
