You cannot be this ignorant.

When you "move" a file from one directory to another on a partition, the 
actual data of the file IS NOT TOUCHED.

The individual bits of the file stay in exactly the same place.

All that's changed is the file system's record of which directory the 
file should be displayed as being in.

Do you know what a "hard link" is?
