https://groups.io/g/RSGB-Workshop

From their you can read the group and also find the address of the group
owner on that page. If I was you, I'd see if anyone is forging your
name first before complaining about it. It is hard to believe anyone
with enough motor skill to post to Usenet would be stupid enough to
impersonate another radio amateur in a radio amateur forum. Even Colin
Watson wasn't *that* stupid.

Where are they these days? I often used to listen to the UK net during
my regular morning defecations, but apart from the occasional Spanish
fisherman, there's little sign of voice activity just below 7MHz. Have
they been busted by OFCOM's flying squad?

The usual rejects spend all their time on here.

There is an article on Southgate about Pirates using old Military
satellites. If you look on YouTube there are a few examples etc. Likewise
Google turns up some interesting info.

While, in theory, it is no more difficult RF wise * than ( for example)
using one of the amateur satellites, I am a bit surprised there isn’t any
access security etc and the pirates seem to be using simple kit.

* the RF link budget may be more interesting as the satellites being
pirated are geostationary ones, rather than ones making close passes. Of
course, you don’t need to worry about tracking, just initial pointing if
you have a directional antenna.

they are all now hammy mens .....they were only on 45m because they couldn't
pass the rae and the morse....but now it has all been dumbed down the are
all 10w FLs running a kw...thought you would have known that ...

You’ve got to make your own propagation in the solar minimum, Jim. Thanks,

It's not just the power. You also need a broadcast quality microphone (response no less than -3dB at 20kHz), mixing desk and extra-wide SSB filters.

And an echo chamber.
