You missed out the original Apple mouse, which came with first Macs. 
It was a big rectangular block, with a ball and connected to the Mac
Plus using a D9 plug.  It was the first mouse most people had seen at
the time.  It think you're a bit hard on its successor, the ADB mouse. 
It was small and neat compared to its predecessor, and I found it
fitted my hand nicely.

not only did he ignore the original mac mouse, but he also didn't
mention the several variants of the adb mouse (not just shape), that
the zero-button design falses a lot and how often the trackpea on the
apple mouse (can't call it mighty mouse) gets jammed and that it's next
to impossible to clean. 

he also ignored the magic trackpads, and that an apple-provided mouse
is not even required. there were multi-button adb mice and trackballs,
and of course, countless usb ones.

I only had a Mac Plus for a brief time before I resold it, so haven’t
really had the experience with that mouse to include it.

The ADB mouse isn’t a bad mouse but I had spent a lot of time using the
Mouse II before I first got gold of the earlier one, so I think that’s why
I never really fell in love with it. The II is just a much better mouse,
IMO.

I’ve only used the original mouse very briefly, and it wasn’t particularly
fun, iirc. But I’ve not enough experience with one to include it positively
or negatively in this list.

I can't say I've ever loved any of the Apple mice. Some were more
tolerable than others. Last time I was using a Mac regularly (2017) I
bought a USB-C adapater to use a compact USB mouse with retractable
cord, rather like this one:

It has the reliablity of corded without the excess wire of most mice
(and without the bulking cord reel on most retractable cord options).

How about a Apple keyboards article? The Apple Extended Keyboard II,
mentioned next to the second ADB mouse, has my vote for best Apple
keyboard, and it is a keyboard I certainly loved and used for years.

I’ve used a couple of 3rd-Party ADB mice (including a MacAlly 2-button
Mouse. Sacrilege!) and it just doesn’t feel proper.

A keyboards version of this article is on my agenda, but was derailed
yesterday evening when I couldn’t find my Extended II... It’s not in my
man-cave downstairs and it’s not at my office! :-|
