Hi

Has anyone any technical understanding of the result I have shown here?

I confess to having little understanding of why this VPN product has so 
many folders - some of which are empty.

You will note that unless I 'tick extra boxes' some folders will remain 
installed on my computer when I click the 'Remove' button.

Might they be being left as 'spies within'?

Please help if you are able. TIA

I don't know why that particular app has created those particular 
folders, but I do know that AppCleaner always leaves files in 
/var/folders unchecked by default, as they are per-user temporary files 
that will be cleaned up by the Mac's periodic maintenance scripts anyway.

So if you're concerned about them, delete them now (or reboot, which I 
think will also trigger their deletion). Otherwise, it should be 
perfectly safe to leave them.

he’s been told this before. As it doesn’t advance his agendga, he just 
ignores it, as he ignores anything else which contradicts his radically 
skewed worldview, and continues on his idiotic way. He may _say_ something 
which might resemble thanks, but in six months to a year he’ll be asking 
the same questions again. He ‘forgets things’; I suspect that part of his 
problem is that he’s an idiot, and part is because of his serious, 
long-term, alcohol abuse.

And, oh, BTW... troll-boy Brooks, it’s rapidly approaching three weeks now.

Many thanks for your thoughts on this, Calum.

I've now emailed the Support Desk of AppCleaner to ask for a view from 
the horse's mouth. I will report back in due course.

For your interest, I did select and delete EVERY item detected by 
AppCleaner and then reinstalled a fresh copy of Keep Solid VPN from the 
Apple App Store. Everything appears to be working properly again.
