It appears, to me, as if there is no longer an SSD in operation in my 
so-called Fusion Drive.

I thought this was settled -- even with Gremlin's help if I recall. Yes, the
SSD part of your Fusion drive is not functional.

My, my memory (personal!) must be really shot. I don't recall Gremlin 
being involved at all!
I have had long discussions about the situation with ChatGPT and long 
before the failure
I arranged for my iMac to boot and operate from a 1TB external SSD. That
doesn't show up in the EtreCheck report because I deliberately removed
it from its Thunderbolt connection before scanning.

I could be wrong... but I think you posted it, I looked briefly on the move
and did not have much to add, and he came in and mocked me and noted the SSD
error. Maybe that was another topic.
