Well, it's taking a while to wean myself off MacSOUP, in particular because
Usenapp is taking forever to download new articles - I can download everything
in MacSOUP before Usenapp's even connected. Anyone else seeing this?

Consider that Usenapp is still in Beta with a final polished version yet to be released, while MacSOUP is flying without support, or further development, and is ultimately doomedware.

Nope. I have mine set to autodownload bodies and refresh on startup and every
10 mins, which would obviate any waiting. Right click a newsgroup, Edit
Subscription.

Odd. I have exactly the same settings. This is using the Berlin server, by the
way.

Just restarted mine to check, and it downloaded this before I blinked. I'm on
Individual.

Nope. When I start Usenap it instantly downloads the new articles in my 27
subscriptions. Takes only a few seconds.

Oh no we're not... once more it keeps getting stuck on server
connection. This is individual.net, and meanwhile MacSOUP's having no
problem. No one else seeing this?

Can't comment on individual.net but it's not happening here with eternal
september.
Try in the Usenapp forums, Andre is quick to respond.
And you might get responses from others with the same issue.

I don’t use Usenapp or MacSoup, but I -do- notice Hogwasher can get stuck 
on connections sometimes. Also individual.net. Usually happens on first 
connection, I then have to manually stop it and try again after which it is 
reliable.
