I'm using a MacBook laptop for which I purchased an external drive, a Crucial X8 of 1TB capacity. Every time I try to back up to the external disc, the software reports that the crucial X8 is not available. The disc shows up in disc utilities and is partitioned to format AFPS. I feel I must be doing something very wrong, but I'm unable to identify it. Any help greatly appreciated Peter -- The address shown on this posting is false.
