Playing an online Scrabble game the other night I was surprised to 
learn that "doge" is actually in the dictionary: the chief magistrate 
of Venice or Genoa.

I doubt if Italy would let Dr. Elon Evil enter the country though after 
all the trouble Mussolini caused them.

mention it, I saw it in a documentary recently about how they restored 
it to its earlier grandeur.
