I seriouly looked at the Mach E, then
found out you cannot even open the front
hoot without paying a "subscription" to
even do that. Hard pass.

Hard pass. That's pretty harsh. If they are going to charge you for a subscription, the car should at least drive itself.

The Hawk’s Nest is a pretty nice drive. I’d be tempted to say “regardless of what one is driving”, but I could see it as unnerving in a top-heavy behemoth much more so than an EV sedan. I probably should go drive it sometime in the summer, as our motivation have been in the winter for Bald Eagle congregations when it’s been cold enough long enough to ice over most of the river. FYI, the Dragon killed another one this past week, unfortunately. It reportedly was from an intersection of a motorcyclist with a deer…I didn’t hear any more details (such as if the biker then got launched off a Cliff, etc). But there’s also ample “less famous” roads in that region which are just as technical. -hh

And you're right that you can enjoy it in almost any car. But a modern Mustang is a "behemoth"; especially when you consider the size of the car versus the space you get. The current generation of Mustang weighs 3,600-4,000lb, and even with big power, that's a lot of mass to slow and turn. My 135i weighs about 3,400lb, and in my opinion, that's too much for greatest driving enjoyment on a twisty road. > > I probably should go drive it sometime in the summer, as our motivation > have been in the winter for Bald Eagle congregations when it’s been cold > enough long enough to ice over most of the river. > > FYI, the Dragon killed another one this past week, unfortunately. There isn't a really good driver's road in easy reach of Vancouver unfortunately; there's the Sea-to-Sky highway, but there's too much traffic and too much speed enforcement.

| And with this bruiser of an inflation report, there's been
| no real wage gains for all employees under President Trump.
| It's zero.
|
| For production and nonsupervisory workers, wages are back
| down to February 2025 levels, with the Iran War erasing
| around 15 months of previous gains.

Trump is desperate for an Iran "deal":
|
| Oil and gas executives have warned the White House that
| gasoline prices could surge in coming months as fuel
| inventories fall to critical lows, complicating the Trump
| administration's efforts to contain inflation that has
| already rattled American consumers.
|
| Industry officials say they are doing everything they can
| to sound an alarm that prices are about to soar as the
| commercial and government inventories that have mitigated
| price rises so far are rapidly depleting, according to
| multiple people familiar with the conversations, who spoke
| on the condition of anonymity for fear of retaliation from
| the administration.

Did the governor of her state, like the governors of Kentucky and Indiana, temporarily halt the gas tax? -- Responsibility: Everyone says that having power is a great responsibility. This is a lot of bunk. Responsibility is when someone can blame you if something goes wrong. When you have power you are surrounded by people whose job it is to take the blame for your mistakes. If they're smart, that is. -- Cerebus, "On Governing"
