The essence of the story is lime and CO2 are 3D printed to make a solid object. (which nature, via sea critters, put the CO2 in the limestone in the first place, so it is only releasing previous atmospheric CO2.) they are using a 3d printer to solve the CO2 problem, not much of a problem then. How much CO2 is realeased making the 3D printer, Dudes?

non-hydraulic cement? (Which does NOT set up under water or in thick
walls, by the way)

95%) calcium hydroxide, Ca(OH)2. Non-hydraulic lime is produced by first
heating sufficiently pure calcium carbonate to between 954° and 1066°C,
driving off carbon dioxide to produce quicklime (calcium oxide). This is
done in a lime kiln. The quicklime is then slaked – hydrated by being
thoroughly mixed with enough water to form a slurry (lime putty), or
with less water to produce dry powder — a hydrated lime (calcium
hydroxide). Hydrated lime naturally turns back into calcium carbonate by
reacting with carbon dioxide in the air, the entire process being called
the lime cycle."

Did your ignorant ass catch that? You make lime mortar by HEATING
limestone: Which takes fire and that produces CO2! And then that heating
in addition DRIVES OFF CO2 from the calcium carbonate. Lose-lose you
loser! And only after you add water to make a mortar does it absorb back
some of the CO2 you just drove off IF it is exposed to air. Hence thick
layers do not work. Hence you've created MORE CO2 with the process than
you've managed to take back in. Plus the lime mortar is piss poor cement
that doesn't set up under water or in thick layers.
This whole bullshit idea is as idiotic and destructive as the green idea
of saving the planet by burning food. Too bad for the million African
babies starving to death because of your idiocy But you are all Progie
libs and atheists anyway so a little baby killing is just "natural
