Being visible IS brain's interpretation of signals from the optic nerve. It does not matter if nerve is triggered by light from your body or your picture on the screen of IR vision device. In the former case your body is visible, in the latter case your projection is visible. In the case of gravity we can't feel it, but we can feel the earth, chair, floor, whatever pushing up on us.
