Every gravitating body has one. Saturn's Rings aren't a moon because they're within the Roche Limit of Saturn. They are either a "shredded" moon or debris that can never form into a moon. Saturn's rings are almost like an accretion disk.

Problem: How are you going to get Both particles moving like that? You might get the electron moving around a circle using a wire, but that's hard to do with a proton. > What do you suppose will then happen, Odd? But supposing it is possible, the fields would cancel. (assuming macroscopic or non-quantum scale.) It would be very difficult to test using just one proton and one electron. So what is the goal of this question? What do you seek to prove? Ed

Whether that sentence is remotely correct depends on how one parses it: “spinning” as the adjective of “space”, or “are spinning” as the verb of “black holes” (passive: “space is spun *by* black holes”)? Only the latter is remotely correct, because *rotating* black holes not only curve spacetime, but also *twist* space*time* around them, or IOW spacetime is *twisted by* rotating black holes: <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_hole#Ergosphere> p. The conservation of angular momentum suggests that most black holes are rotating. This is a subject for sci.physics.relativity instead. Space is unmarked and gravity is invisible field in it. We could never measure a rotation of black hole space... No. Black holes don't exist. Neutronium star is end state matter... not a collapsar singularity. Hawking said it himself in math but he went back on it... maybe to be famous later on. He original said that GR predicting singularities predicts its own down fall. But that is only real for black hole maximum gravity not for the real neutronium star maximum gravity. Neutronium maximum gravity doesn't violate any right math. Hawking said singularities do. GR is only right in a limiting case. Mathematical God creates gravitations. Mitchell Raemsch

So I guess by definition that puts rotation out of the question1 Double-A

AA “What do you mean ‘shred?” I guess whatever they meant here: https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/swift/bursts/shredded-star.html “....Astronomers soon converged on the idea that what they were seeing was the aftermath of a truly extraordinary event -- the awakening of a distant galaxy's dormant black hole as it shredded and gobbled up a passing star.”

What John means? Depends on what Little Pharma had on sale. What the article means by "shred"? Tidal disruption, when the force of tides becomes stronger than an object's self-gravity, and it gets torn apart. Happens when something gets too close to a massive compact body. Such as a black hole. It is why Saturn has a ring system instead of a moon orbiting closely. Either a moon got "shredded" by Saturn's gravity, or matter there couldn't coalese into a moon because Saturn kept it "shredded". Google "Roche Limit".

john <johnsefton288@gmail.com> writes: >Those couldn't be Black Holes, though, because huge jets keep shooting out of them No John, that is a false straw man argument. You assume something false (jets shooting out of black holes) and use that to "prove" black holes can't exist. In reality, NOTHING escapes from black holes, except perhaps Hawking radiation. In particular, the "huge jets" don't. They come from the inner accretion disk, OUTSIDE the hole. If you'd bother to READ about some of the stuff, instead of simply flinging your poo against the wall to see if any will stick, you would get a better reputation than being one of the bigger dumbasses of sci.physics. Of course that won't ever happen. Your spinny thing obsession controls you and keeps you from learning.
