To understand Ohm's law, we mirror it to velocity v= distance/time ; current = voltage/resistance

Alright, in the AP Equations of Maxwell, we dismiss old Ohm's law as incomplete. Instead of Voltage = current*resistance we have Voltage = current*magnetic field*torque.

And to fully understand what Ohm's law is all about, we see it as a mirror image of Velocity = distance/time.

We see voltage not as pressure as so many would like to call it, no not pressure. But rather, we see voltage as a distance-- as Space itself, distance or area or volume to be more general.

And we see Resistance as broken into two separate parameters of a Magnetic Field multiplied by a torque L.

So New Ohm's law is V=iBL. ViBL is easy to remember like the mnemonic "visible".

So, let us talk about Voltage being Space and Magnetic Field*torque being time.

In this scheme of mirroring, then, the Area is Voltage, the length is current, and what we consider Resistance in physics becomes of all things width. How could resistance ever be considered width? Well, if you take Resistance to be Magnetic Field * torque, we can somewhat glimpse that torque is width.

Re: Magnetic Field * torque is width ? Re: 1.4To understand Ohm's law, we mirror it to velocity v= distance/time ; current = voltage/resistance

So we have these, all in the form of math of A= B*C and more general A = B*C*D as we break down Resistance into that of Magnetic Field * L (torque L)

So in math we have

Area = Length * Width
Volume = L * W* D  where D = depth

In physics we have

Velocity = distance/time
Voltage = current*Resistance

New Ohm's law
Voltage = current * Magnetic Field*L(torque)

We break down Velocity = distance/time into that of distance = velocity*time

So now we have these of form A = B*C

distance = velocity*time
area = length*width
voltage = current*resistance

What this does, is help us to keep straight the concepts involved, so we can think of distance, area, voltage as similar. We can think of velocity, length and current as similar. And we can think of time, width, resistance as similar.

Now I could add another one, acceleration is distance/time^2 so that we have

distance = acceleration*t^2

Learn proper English, Plutonium. When discussing only yourself, you use
"I", not "we".
