Such myopia. You claim to know a thing or two about physics. Yet, you don't seem to have an understanding of how Earth accreted from small clumps of matter that haloed the Sun millions of years ago. FYI these small clumps of matter that accreted and formed Earth contained significant amounts of hydrocarbons. These hydrocarbons are a measurable part of what the Earth consists of and these hydrocarbons exist independently of Earth's crust. This means the heat of the Earth at levels below the crust act as a natural refinery and refined hydrocarbons have percolated over the ages upwards and continue to do so. This explains who some once-dry oil wells replenish over time. The theory that all hydrocarbons are derived from fish oil and plant residue is myopic and crazy. Shame on you, Relf... -- Yours Truly, Gregory Hall If a woman stumbles upon a fact that is opposed to her intuition she will tend to reject it outright and, even if the evidence is overwhelming, she will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, she has feelings that give her a reason to act in accordance with her intuition, she will embrace them as the Gospel. -- Capt. Neal ยฎ

And they didn't chemically survive the extreme heat and pressure they were exposed to during accretion. > These hydrocarbons are a measurable part of what the > Earth consists of and these hydrocarbons exist independently > of Earth's crust. This means the heat of the Earth at > levels below the crust act as a natural refinery and > refined hydrocarbons have percolated over the ages > upwards and continue to do so. This explains who some > once-dry oil wells replenish over time. Pure unadulterated bullshit. Hydrocarbons form from organic matter from the surface being buried, then heated under sufficient pressure in the absence of oxygen. If it was *too* much heat and *too* much pressure though it would be destroyed. As a rule, the more heat and pressure, the further along this scale: - Decomposing biological matter - Peat - Coal - Oil - Graphite - Diamonds Note that the last two are not fuels. Natural gas can be produced in association with oil. Coal can also release gas by internal breakdown processes. If an oil well seems to "replenish", either there's a slow seep of oil from a deeper reservoir into the shallower one, or it's because we deployed new tech to better scrape the proverbial bottom of the barrel. > The theory that all hydrocarbons are derived from fish > oil and plant residue is the truth. -- "To explain the unknown by the known is a logical procedure; to explain the known by the unknown is a form of theological lunacy." ~David Brooks "I get fooled all the time by the constant hosiery parade in here." ~Checkmate

Here you are, you ignorant twaught! Read this .pdf:
<https://courses.seas.harvard.edu/climate/eli/Courses/EPS281r/Sources/Origin-of-oil/The%20Origin%20of%20Methane%20(and%20Oil)%20in%20the%20Crust%20of%20the%20Earth.pdf>
Follows, the introduction:
"Modern information re-directs attention to the theories of a non-biological,
primeval origin. Among this information is the prominence of hydrocarbonsโgases,
liquids and solidsโon many other bodies of the solar system, as well as in
interstellar space. Advances in high-pressure thermodynamics have shown that
the pressure-temperature regime of the Earth would allow hydrocarbon molecules
to be formed and to survive between the surface and a depth of 100 to 300 km.
Outgassing from such depth would bring up other gases present in trace amounts
in the rocks, thus accounting for the well known association of hydrocarbons with
helium. Recent discoveries of the widespread presence of bacterial life at depth
point to this as the origin of the biological content of petroleum. The carbon budget
of the crust requires an outgassing process to have been active throughout the
geologic record, and information from planets and meteorites, as well as from mantle
samples, would suggest that methane rather than CO2 could be the major source
of surface carbon. Isotopic fractionation of methane in its migration through rocks
is indicated by numerous observations, providing an alternative to biological
processes that have been held responsible for such fractionation. Information
from deep boreholes in granitic and volcanic rock of Sweden has given support
to the theory of the migration of gas and oil from depth, to the occurrence of
isotopic fractionation in migration, to an association with helium, and to the
presence of microbiology below 4 km depth."

One would expect a claimed astrophysicist to have intimate
knowledge of the above. You, kensi pupa, are a fraud.
